But, we're not Mazdas. Personally, "piston" describes the action of a leg far better than "rotor".

Nope, while piston is not the correct word I understood what he meant. If this makes any sense, I could add another crank arm of about 780cm attached to another pivoting arm of 5cm with an extra pedal that would propel the third angle of the triangle. Considering your 2 legs are 2 pistons by Fred's standard you could just need to use a middle leg.
O.K. So you young guys may have a third piston. Now, if you could only find a way to effectively translate it's stored energy into something usefull.

Do you not "get it", that Luis and I are perfectly familliar with wankel rotories and that we're just having a bit of fun?

They look pretty static to me. Were they supposed to be animated?

Back to sufferin soccutash.. went for a ride today again to do 5x1-5min max intensity intervals. This time around it was muchhhh better. It is supprising what a pair of chemical toe warmers can do. It was 26F with wind chill of 17F. I finally found the formula to ride in the 20s. 3 layers on the torso (underarmour base, Cycling jacket, northface jacket) and 3 layers on the legs (bib knickers, long johns and tights), latex gloves with ski gloves, balaclava, Wool socks, Assos neoprene socks with HotHands chemical toe warmers and Gore Goretex booties .
Although my face burns and turns purple the rest of my body is warm and cozy! A little better on the breathing razors too. This time around the Iphone died on me due to "extreme temp".
Not much suffering today except for one arduous climb where the usual happened.

Luis, go to a doc, get a uric acid level drawn, if (it certainly sounds like it) is gout, modify your diet and he can put you colchicine short term to alleviate symptoms.
It is most likely that I did. The only carbs I get are from fruits and some oatmeal. I dont have bread or any other kind of cereal. I think it is time to modify the diet. I do not eat red meats however and most of the time my protein comes in shape of powder, chicken or tofu...
Thanks Tom. At first I thought I had broken my toe and fingers by "riding the bike so hard and such long efforts". My feeling was that due to the long hours pushing and pulling on the same bones they eventually broke. However, I found it weird that some days it would be super painful, like a sharp burning pain and other days it would be swollen and itchy but not necessarily painful. I have broken those bones before though or at least heavily bruised them so it is not out of the question that it may be some kind of arthritis.
We''ll see how it goes with the doc. Thanks again!
