Suggestions on a computer that measures speed, cadence, and heartrate
any suggestions on which computer to buy that measures speed, cadence, and heartrate? I am considering the Cateye Strada 430 for $137 on amazon. Thanks for any suggestions

I just picked up the Garmin Forerunner 310XT for this purpose. Also planning to use it while running so it serves both well.

Garmin 510 bundle. I purchased a Garmin 200 first and 14 months later upgraded to a 510. I've no experience with the Cateye.

Possibly not an answer you're looking for, but one to consider depending on what you have. If you have an iPhone, I'd get the wahoo fitness speed/cadence sensor and either a polar or wahoo bluetooth heart rate monitor. I found that by turning off GPS tracking in cyclemeter, my phone only uses up maybe 5% power per hour, with the screen always on. It's about $120 for the set, so maybe not cheaper than other cycle computers, but I like the integration with my phone and such

I've had two Strada products and had a great experience with them. Last year the Garmin 800 was being sold for $300 - $100 Garmin rebate = $200 net. I couldn't pass that up and bought one. Looking back I wish I had gone with the Garmin much sooner. It has so many more features it's not really even a fair comparison.
Not trying to give you advice, just sharing my experience.

Wow. Didn't know this was available on my iPhone. Where do u put your iPhone while riding and does the heart rate appear on the same screen as speed and cadence? Thx.

Whatever you spend money on, I would encourage you to consider something that uses an industry-standard wireless communication method - that way, when you want/need to replace one items, you're not locked in to something proprietary. In this market, the predominant communication method is ANT+, though Bluetooth LE (BT 4.0 or newer) may make strong inroads in the next couple product generations.

I'm pretty happy with my Cateye Stealth 50, which has all the features you're looking for plus GPS. It's Ant+ compatible. I will mention though, that, you will still need to buy the Ant+ HR strap and Speed/Cadence sensors for about another $100 if you get the Cateye versions (I think the Wahoo fitness ant+ sensors run slightly cheaper)
It's a pretty simple GPS device, with a very basic feature set that works great for posting to Strava etc. It's a great way to keep a mileage log, if nothing else.
If you can get all 3 pcs on sale, then the Stealth 50 is totally worth it, but if not it starts approaching price of Garmin 500/510 bundles which offer more advanced features for not that much more money.

It's configurable to show you everything (up to 8 fields if you have good eyes) you want on one screen for riding intervals. You don't have to choose between time, distance, and speed or heart rate and cadence.
It records samples every second for analysis after the fact and tracking training stress via TRIMPS.
2.4 GHz ANT+ sensors mean it does not go spastic due to interference from things like LED headlights and traffic light eddy sensors.
The back light can be configured to remain on for evening rides.
It's hard to accidentally reset on a ride.
Download is via a mini-USB cable as a mountable drive, not via a proprietary cradle and/or software.
It'll speak to an ANT+ power meter if you upgrade.
Finally there's a GPS receiver in it and you can share rides via social media.
The price difference wasn't too interesting (I paid $149 for my Garmin, and maybe $80 for the heart rate strap and speed/cadence sensor together) versus the Polar CS200CAD I upgraded from and if I'd known what I do now I'd have just bought the Garmin.

I'll second everyone's recommendation of the Edge 500. I had a basic wired computer, upgraded to an edge 200, and this year upgraded again to an edge 500 with HR and Cadence. It does everything I want and more. I got mine secondhand on eBay for $100 with the HR strap and bought the cadence sensor separately.

Garmin 510, think it's better to be able to track your data and see how you progress.

I have the Garmin Edge 510. Had a BT issue on an early version but Garmin swapped it out without issue. It's great.
