Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fit or not?

I'll post a photo of myself on my bike and ask if it is fit or not. Is that ok?

Well, at least the answer requested is a simple go/no-go. Much better than, "what do you think." Which is of course all the 41 is for anyway.

NOT.

There, that's out of the way. I love this place. Makes me smile.

Is this about how you fit on the bike or how fit you are? I'm unsubscribing if this is going to be a thread of guys posting their bellies.

I'm assuming it just got lost in translation that he wants to see how his fit on his bike is. Not if he is fit ha

You guys want pre-ride shots of my hairy Fred belly or post ride (when it's hairy and sweaty)?

You can try but be prepared for plenty of ridicule along with an occasional nugget of wisdom.

Realize that fit is a dynamic process so it makes sense, if possible, to post a short video of you riding on rollers or a trainer, with a few positions (tops, drops, hoods).

They eat much more than you and i do. I eat 3500 calories on a cheat day. Those dudes during training have to eat like 5000 calories every day just to maintain. The type of food though may not be ideal but they do eat tons.

could use a longer stem. looks very upright on the bike for being in the drops.

Also, should look forward to avoid being hit by a car.
