Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shameless and Psyched Up Type of Post

Hello everyone. I just had the urge to post and express my excitement about getting my new used 99 Lemond Zurich in the mail on Thursday. Back in the saddle my friends. Bought the motion maker on Craigslist last week and it should be here sometime on Thursday if it successfully travels through the thick Georgia humidity. Looking forward to the scenery and heart racing descents and climbs. Bought a new Scott helmet and some hip Shimano 105 pedals. Currently deciding on shorts or bibs, computer or no computer, and the ever elusive saddle bag for survival gear. Ahhh....pure Zen. The impatient road awaits while the dreamer will soon become a rider....again.

I had a '99 Zurich. Excellent tubeset. Make sure the rear wheel skewer is on super tight. That year had issues with the wheel coming out of the dropouts while riding, happened to me.
