Is SRAM in decline?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is SRAM in decline?

I had a 2006 BMW 325i...and it had a host of electrical issues before it hit 40k. My cousin had a E class that puked oil all over the garage floor in its first month. So are German cars bad?

I run SRAM on my road and mountain bikes...never had an issue...am I just lucky?

If you run Avid hydraulic discs, and have never had a problem, you are very lucky.

SRAM makes nice mountain components(except Avid hydraulic brakes), but their road components have a history of being problematic.

Not every component they build is junk, but they have QC issues with their road components(shifters specifically).

I just put red 22 on my ride and took Shimano off to do so. Rode it today and would not go back.
