I run SRAM on my road and mountain bikes...never had an issue...am I just lucky?

I had a 2006 BMW 325i...and it had a host of electrical issues before it hit 40k. My cousin had a E class that puked oil all over the garage floor in its first month. So are German cars bad?

SRAM makes nice mountain components(except Avid hydraulic brakes), but their road components have a history of being problematic.
Not every component they build is junk, but they have QC issues with their road components(shifters specifically).
