Level or sloping top tube on large frames

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just bought a bike with a serious sloping top tube and love it. I feel it adds a lot of stiffness turning and when I ride it feels just as good as my Carbon Sirrus.

When I had my custom frame made I also opted for the 'slight slope'.

I for one dislike that look, though a couple of my bikes have top tubes like that. Either go swoopy, or straight across.

Fortunately, I'm not the one buying it.

Who said anything about buying this frameset? This one is a gift from the builder.

No chance for the stainless. The builder is giving me this frameset because he wants my impression on the ride of Enve's carbon fiber tubing. He knows that I ride a ton of miles every year, and that I'm sensitive to changes of equipment.
