Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I curious to hear how long a BDop DIY wheelset takes to arrive.

For those that have purchased one, how many days did it take, and where do you live?

It's Chinese New Year right now, I'm guessing it's gonna take a while.

No big deal, just curious.

It's strange that BDop hasn't been on here lately.

I haven't ordered anything as big as a wheel/rim from him, but the wheel parts that I have ordered arrived faster than orders that I've placed with companies within the lower 48. We're talking crazy fast, like two business days.

That is today. I ordered last night(early today there).

I'm not concerned or in a rush, just curious.

China, Taiwan and Hong Kong all pretty much grind to a halt for Chinese New Year. It often takes a week for everything to spin back up 'normal' speed afterwards, but then they have to clear backlogs.

BDop is a great outfit, but they'll be running a week behind at the moment at least.

Bob has a young family and works hard - probably no time for the forum at the moment.

Not to mention the backlog with the ports as well.

According to his reply to one of my questions, he was in a 3 day stage race last week. That's a good enough reason to be away from here(IMO).

Yeah, I'm seeing all those ships sitting out off the shore of Long Beach (I'm sure due to the negotiations between the port and the unions). Looks like it might be awhile before that backlog is cleared.

BDOP is a big operation, not a one-man show. His personal schedule shouldn't affect retail customer service.

BDOP ships by air, not by ship. Port woes shouldn't have any impact on his delivery times.
