Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? i'd be down with BMCs if i ever saw them in track kit. not to mention they could have a shorter wheelbase. love the idea, underwhelmed by the execution.

on the other hand, the conti and the sky blue master are definitely two thumbs up.

that conti rules so hard it's not even funny! that is absolutely in my top 5 favorite bikes. I can't get over how beautiful it looks. It's the equivalent of Vince Carter's 360 reverse windmill in the 2000 Dunk Contest. Everytime I see it, I can't help but shake my head and go WOW!

Very true. It's got just the right blend of old and new parts, performance and style parts, European and Asian parts. The color is magnificent too.

Bikes: SOMA Rush, Miyata 912, Kogswell Mod. G, want a porteur bike

that seems like a perfectly functional build even if it isn't
consistent throughout with the style and source of components.
could do without the white rims and black spokes/hubs, but it looks
like a rider.

Yes, heaven forbid someone puts anything besides NJS on their bike. What in the HELL were they thinking? I mean, don't they know that all Weinmanns will split on you? I mean Hell, if you're going to have an NJS frame, you have to do a full NJS build because, ya' know, you're going to be riding in Keirin races and all.

Bikes: 53cm Levant NJS, 54cm Motobecane

Why spend over 800 on a frame [probably more because it's a Makino] and not put a nice wheelset on it? I wouldnt ride NJS wheels for the road, but cmon, Wienmanns? You could get a much stronger clincher set [Open Pro] and you wouldn't look like an idiot with white rims. Nice ass frame though. Saw a Makino in Philly today. Gorgeous.

Let it be known! My apologies go out to all that do not have a broadband connection! My apologies also go out to all the members that feel I have gone and ruined this post by using "poor forum etiquette!" So it is written! So it shall be!

Is the top tube sloped down towards the headtube? or is it just an illusion? Sweet bike either way

BoozyMcliverRot is right, it is a wrap

you can tell by looking at the reflections, light would reflect evenly off of paint but you can see the texture in the reflection

still pretty sweet though, what does the rest of the bike look like?
