this place is still surprisingly bleak through my 1920x1080 wide gamut.

If I assume correctly, you're talking about an imac; it's not possible; LCD screens give off very minimal radiation; plus if you have the one with the glass facade, the glass has a layer of material, a kind of filter, on the inner side of the glass.
How do I know this? A high school volunteered at had some roudy kids who smashed the screens with the aluminium keyboards... the glass overlay breaks like a windshield, the glass stays in place even when broken due to film on the innerside.

Yeah, not a lotta radiation concerns from LCD displays. Bashing older iMac LCDs can release some harmful gasses however if the CCFL tubes are also broken.

LCDs are only diodes.... no tubes. You're talking about CRT

Oh yeah forgot to mention that the glass facade on imacs are supposed to protect the LCD in case of the glass breaking. As the imacs I mentioned earlier did not have their LCD screens smashed thanks to the glass that absorbed the impacts.

Bright color LCD displays for computers depend on a backlight. The two most common are CCFL (basically little fluorescent light tubes) and LED. iMacs have been all LED for what maybe a year now.

The CCFL tubes are somewhat fragile. Just the right impact with the corner of a keyboard could crack one open.

You should've mentioned about the back light lol
I thought you were pertaining to something else

Pretty wild non-user-serviceable stuff there alright. I'm guessing these are shots from the NAHBS???

How do people say that anyways? I'm just gonna start saying "the knob show", which is an improvement from what I used to call it, the ****** show, just because I cold never remember the initials.

Check the sweet rotor bash guards on the Geekhouse polo bike: (seems like a minor redesign would still allow wheel to be removed without prior bash guard removal, though)

This bike looks fun. Haro bend in the top tube. Fisher / KHS bend in the seattube and check out that Mondo-Gusset on the downtube! Wonder if the downtube itself goes all the way to the headtube? Could be some drillium on those brake levers, nice!

Fine work coming out of that show in Austin.

Some understated, some overstated. Diversionary tactics with one-piece-cranksets?
