Sometimes I think he’s getting into the kale! He’s left me gasping for fresh air and one night the funk knocked a gecko off the ceiling!

Bad news first: I'm getting fat AF! Just look at those chins! The good news is that with the three-week B12 course that the vet had prescribed, Cricket has shown tremendous improvement. He now walks and runs far better, and seems to feel more emboldened to jump up and down our lowest couches. We expect him to get even better in the coming weeks and months.
Oooo! New winter thread!

...it's either that or i'll become a de facto floor polisher!"

He gets a lot of exercise in this place! He loves, “drifting”, on these cheap ass floors! Rugs in the hallway allow him to get up to speed! All four, “tires”, grasping for traction!

yesterday, 1 minute before my alarm goes off, I wake after having a dream & hearing 1 cat meow. mind you, the cat that hangs on the 2nd fl, near our bedroom doesn't meow, it screeches. the single meow & dream was me waking to feed 3 cats, trotting to their bowls, in front of me, but the 3rd was a young black cat. we lost an older black cat several months ago. in my dream, as I was talking to the black cat, asking it where it came from, it looked at me, then trotted off, as I asked where are you hiding? no exterior doors were open, so it couldn't come & go from outside. then I got up from bed & went downstairs to the usual 2-cat morning routine. was it a visitation from our late, 3rd, black cat? I like to think so. dreams are so funny. also funny that it woke me 1 minute before my alarm went off

Mine knows 15 minutes. They also wake me (or occasionally my wife) at 5 'ish AM to be fed, so OK, they've trained us, didn't help that early on with the kittens my wife was awake at 3:30; leaving the house at 4:30 so they all got fed early. I guess 5-5:30 AM is the compromise.
But cats have a sense of time for sure. Not sure if its an empty stomach, don't think so, it's something else, but they know within 10 minutes when it's 4PM and time for the evening meal. They know when it's time for Dad to get off the couch and go upstairs to go to bed. Lately, my 19 year old as well as the 8 mos. old kittens are waking me at 7-7:30, 2 hours after I've fed them, meowing at me (19 yr. old) or playing Jets vs. Sharks on my legs in bed. Mostly as the kittens want me to go downstairs with them so they can run around for an hour. They cannot seem to do this by themselves, they need me out of bed and eating breakfast to accomplish this.

Believe it or not, there’s about three+ inches of fluff there! If he walks by and away from me, I’ll tousle that area…he’s a little hard body! He seems to like the aforementioned attention, then remembers that he’s a cat and, you know, cat don’t like that! He gets brushed at least three times a day! I’m just now starting to inch down on the sides try to get as much belly brushed as possible! He love have his chest area done…to a point…then we start over again!

I see Harbor Freight has inexpensive ones:
Your cat might start getting suspicious when you put them on, though!

We used to used what we called our fireplace gloves. The cats had no trouble cutting like a box cutter would! One cat in particular, “Sh—-y Kitty”, a beautiful, long hair was abused by a previous owner’s daughter. Great cat, you just had to pay attention! She filleted the tops of both gloves! Died in my arms!
