ghost town around here. aren't most of you guys on Eastern Time?
some of you guys aren't waking up in the middle of the night to change and feed an infant, and it really shows.

Early morning feeding, I remember those days. Neither of my kids slept through the night until about 11-12 months of age.

Did the teardown for the Roubaix upgrade to 11s Di2. I finished everything I wanted except to install the new 11s cassette.
Pic
Then I hit a snag. Last cassette cog does not fit on freehub body.
The wheels are the stock DT Swiss boat anchors that came with the bike. When I took off the 10s cassette, there WAS a thin (sub-mm) washer so I was told that means the body will accept 11s, but clearly this one won’t.
Before I post in mechanics forum, wtf is going on?

Yeah, I know. But apparently DT Swiss makes different varieties based on hub type, so I really need to get this one off first. I am giving it a rest but will try again over the weekend, I am askeered I may have to unscrew locknut on NDS and remove the axle. I was hoping to avoid this.

Going to take the day off for a trip to Tucson to the Tour de Tucson vendor show which I've been told shouldn't be missed. Heading for the ATM soon to stock up on cash.

Day 2 of garmin training plan. Today was 4 2 min intervals at threshold. It gave me good guidance which was really nice. Today on the work out page it gives you a chart with a moving slide rule and shows you the target power to be in. The only other thing on the workout page is time. It would be nice to have heart rate and speed and distance but as TMONK has mentioned speed and distance is not relevant in training.
My only complaint was the amount of warm up. It was about 40 mins of warming up, which isn’t a problem that’s normal. The issue was the amount in zone 1. Basically 5 mins zone 1 5 mins zone 2 and repeat for 40 mins. The zone 1 seemed a little much. Also after each interval there was 4 mins in zone 1 and followed by dealers choice of zone 2. I opted for 2:30 of zone 2 before the interval. It gave me enough time to get into position on a false flat to do the interval.
Staying in the correct power on the interval was challenging, by the fourth one I had it dialed in and could do it by feel instead of stairing at my screen. Over all I liked it.
After the workout I opted for some zone 2 with some tempo. Got about 8 miles in and got a flat. My second one this year. Weird part, I was in colonial williamsburg. Other than horse poop there is usually nothing on the road. I don’t know what I hit but it slit the tire really good. These tires are old so I don’t think so will ride them anymore. Took me way too long to get the tire off. It was almost like the tire was sealed to the rim, I could get the tire away from the rim to put my lever in it. Eventually got it off and used my mini pump.

Our department gave everyone the day off tomorrow. Temperature could reach 70 degrees by the afternoon. What's not to like?

I wanted to tell him how much I live on now or how much I made during my 49 years of full time work but there would be no point. He has no idea how fortunate he is, (if he's telling the truth) yet he portrays himself as a victim of society.
Then the thing about "racing" other members or playing chess to settle some point? Huh?
Or maybe it's just a giant troll fest and he's sucked us all in....nah.
