It's been an exceptionally dry winter here, and very warm for the last couple weeks. The temperature got up to 65 farenheit and the humidity down to 30% today at my house, so I took advantage of this rare opportunity to paint my current project.

My indoor rollers frame broke at the hinge joint. The PLASTIC bit that joins the metal frame together is the culprit. It's good enough to friction fit the pieces together, but vibrations during a ride will make it fall apart from under you! Eeekkk. Yes, I almost went through the wall.
So, on the axle end of the crank arm I have a jammed cross threaded nut on the outside to keep it put and a knurled textured nut on the inside of the frame to act as an "axel". When I am riding, I put it as shown, tighten the knurled nut down with my fingers, and put the toe strap through the pedal hole/roller frame to keep the sections from pulling apart. When finished riding, I remove the toe strap and can fold the rollers up for storage. When only the best will do, use Dura-Ace! It works but I should probably use steel bolt instead of the toe strap. For now, this is my solution:

checked out Shinola flagship store in Tribeca, nyc.
beautiful hand built bikes in Detroit, leather works and watches—Swiss mov and part assembled in Detroit too.
their Saddles to watch, definitely. looked as good as Brooks if not better. about same price.
