Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

And as luck would have it, there seems to be a glut of dumb riders these days, too.

Sorry to hear that, in the future try not doing whatever you did.

In a more serious tone, hope you feel better by the time I get to Dallas, don’t want to have to wheel you to dinner in a wheel chair. People might get the wrong idea.

Ran to CVS after dinner to sell a guitar, and told my wife I should pick up a cane while there. Her response was that she wasn’t letting me put one foot in the grave yet.

I’ve battled this crap for 30 years. It just happens from time to time. The cause can be as innocuous as tying a shoe. Today was weed eating after mowing.

It's really the only way to do coffee. This one's a Bialetti, but made in China, I think. And it works well on the induction.hotplate.

Happens to me sometimes too. And usually it’s completely out of the blue. Luckily it doesn’t keep down for long. The pinched nerve in the neck, I used to get that all the time when I was body building, and talk about pain. I would be completly useless.

Was it pretty quick? Something like that would sun itself on my MIL's steps, but it was always gone in a flash.

Oh, BTW, what's the story with your layover here? Going to be here for a bit or just in and out?

Wow. I see that my local LBS bike shop has them very aggressively priced ($499). If I didn't have a perfectly fine 1 year old smart trainer, I'd be tempted.

Sounds like you want to be flat on your back. Maybe some acetaminophen.

OTC Tylenol has never done much for me. I’m not allowed to take Ibuprophrine due to some other issues. Booze it is!

Haven't decided what to do tomorrow. I checked both club pages and it seems nobody wants to ride in 107 degrees. I could drive to the beach and ride among 5 million people, then drive back with thousands of others.
Maybe the best bet is to join a group of 4 starting at 7:00 and be done by 10ish.

Watching the poor cat suffer is the worst. Our a/c isn't very good and he just looks like he's dying. He's happy in cold weather.
