Wheels were fantastic this morning. Hub sounds like the enve wheels when coasting, that quiet mechanized hummmmmmm. Out of all the wheels I have owned these are quickest to engage.
I must have done something when I put the wheel back on, because the shifting is now horrible. The cassette came off the wheels I swapped so it can’t be that. Going up and and down it’s missing shifts, occasional ghost shift, and won’t go onto the biggest cog or the littlest cog.
I am hoping to just drop it off at the shop today but not sure that will happen.

It is the time of year when I need to give my wife my race calendar. This year will feature no events outside of the county, no RRs or stage races, only a couple local criteriums and TTs. Maybe a track night or three.
There are some legacy San Diego road races that have made comebacks this year, which is great. I will not have the legs required for those, maybe in a subsequent season when we are past this infancy and I can get more long rides in.

San Luis Rey RR is back as well and hopefully here to stay. It also ends with a moderately long climb but its a lower gradient and a generally less harsh course.

Sounds like it's time for you to learn how to adjust your derailleur.

I must have been lucky so far in my career. I have swapped cassettes so many times and have never had an issue, so I figured I must have fudged something.

They brought it back this year! But, participation was low and I do not see it on the calendar, bummer. This year it was hot AF and it was total attrition from heat acclimation at the bottom of the course. Top of the climb wasn't so bad, but still mid/high 80's. I won the Master's 35+

I remember San Luis Rey. I had a 6th place finish (Cat 3) the one time I did it.
