Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have JJ napkins in my car and yes, I’ve used them to staunch blood before.

You prolly have to do it multiple times per week. Yet you soldier on. Kudos.

Here in New England, Dunkin' Donuts is the car napkin of choice.

Yep. Get the red can, or leave it on the shelf.

I believe the new name is just Dunkin'. They want to get away from being branded as donuts. Kinda like KFC replaced Kentucky Fried Chicken. It's still fried, but they want to seem healthier.

Fear not!

Peroxide applied twice. Wounded digit on the road to recovery.

in other news, I am off today. mid-afternoon ride is planned as I inch ever closer to 4,000 miles. My goal was 3,800 but the number of rain outs were lower than expected. In addition, the awesome Marigold jacket enabled me to ride in frigid weather we have down here. Also the headlight and rear blinky helped greatly.

Not big miles for most but, I am pleased. In 4-6 years when I retire that number could double as I can ride in the morning and do longer rides by avoiding the heat.

Full of himself BF member corrects my grammar (I used an incorrect homophone) then makes a grammatical mistake himself a few posts later in the same thread. It's the little things in life that make BF so satisfying.
