Once in about 1981, there was an early morning earthquake in Boston. That afternoon, future LSS and I were walking across the MIT campus after a few games of squash and were accosted by a local TV news team asking where we were when the quake hit. LSS, without a beat of hesitation, says, “I was in bed with my boyfriend and I felt the earth move.” Yes, they used the tape.

* laptop to run Zwift, fan and the trainer, though trainer can be run without power, and I guess laptop battery could last the 10 minutes to get me warmed up to the point of needing the fan.
I too have the fan on a bar stool, but I find the air flow to be too focused/narrow if I have the stool too close.
I started it yesterday and immediately remembered how I hate winter (such as we have it here in mid Atlantic).

Went for a ride with 2 friends. The wind was whipping here so we drove near the Rose Bowl and rode in the shadow of the San Gabriel mountains. It was nice and my friend insisted on getting pizza by the slice at half way. Like big, sourdough crust slices laden with cheese and pepperoni. He was buying, so what could we say?
It was pretty good and didn't hurt too much on the climbs later.
He also told me the impatient guy was pissed that I was invited on the ride this past Saturday. Apparently, I'm not "strong enough" to be invited on those rides, even though I didn't get dropped and wasn't the slowest on every section.

Reminds me of the time we had new water heaters installed a few days before Christmas. Christmas dinner was planned for our house.
On the 22nd, the plumbers did something or failed to do something in the attic (where our water heaters are located) that caused our dining room to flood. Took out the whole ceiling. Fortunately it did not damage our table, chairs, walls, trim, or the wood floor. The plumbing company brought in a crew to dry everything out, had the ceiling replaced, and had the insulation blown in by 3:00 on Christmas Eve.
I was pretty impressed that they pulled it off.
