Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So the silver is wearing off and showing the underlying brass? Sounds like it could look neat. I always liked how I wore through the lacquer on some parts of my trumpet.

Whatever happened it's made the surface matte, instead of shiny. A bit weird because I mostly didn't touch it with my hands. Used a cloth.

Do you play now?

Ah I see.

I do not, my trumpet was either egregiously misplaced or stolen when I was in college and moving from one house to another

Tubeless wheel/tire on wheelbarrow fixed. It took a new valve stem from ScamBay, a little patience, and one CO2 cartridge.

I had to buy a 4-pack of valve stems. I doubt I will ever need the other 3, but they are on the pegboard just in case. If anyone needs one (or two or three), PM me. They are Schrader, for .455 inch hole, and 3/4 inch long.

Major bummer.

It's weird how some things disappear. The trumpet came with two tuning slides--one a larger diameter that made it play a bit differently.

Somehow I lost one of them. wut The last time I looked they were like $185, so I've never gotten another one.
