I did one recently that was a couple miles short. Screw it. I didn't plan it, and it was short due to last minute road construction detour. . The ruling on the field?.....close enough!

Well my last century I rode 50 miles one way and turned around rode back. Somehow when I got to my house I was at like 94 miles. I think I got to 98 before I said screw it.

Is there anything that should be done if one notices rust on a bike?

My ritchey has some rust on the chain stay, previous owner must have dropped the chain and pedaled through.
