Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I can let you in on one of the tricks they sometimes use. You pick out one online, and go to pick it up. When you get there, they say something like "he has a sister, and we don't want to split them up". You go home with two.

To be fair, our "bonus cat" turned out to have the sweetest disposition I have ever seen in a cat.

I just took a quick spin around the block on my Bianchi, just for the heck of it. No helmet, everyday shoes, cheapo sunglasses. One of my neighbors had jazz playing on their outdoor speakers, so I ended up riding home during a beautiful sunset with musical accompaniment. Good end to the day!

Thank All Y'All.

That's a mid pack ride in the 60+. It gives me promise, at least, simply because it's been a while since I've performed a good TT.

Oh yeah and I rented my Tahoe reservation out today. Sad to see that one go. Labor Day mountain biking in Tahoe woulda been sweet.

Now it’s gonna be Labor Day mountain biking in Big Bear instead.

Mr H’s birthday in a few days. Initial plan was Six Flags. Then it was gonna be the Petersen Automotive Museum. Now he’s thinking maybe the Nethercutt Collection (also cars). Why? It’s near the Go Kart track.

Clump, definitely. With non-clump, scooping doesn't remove the urine, and you end up changing the litter far more often. With clumping you are effectively removing the urine when you scoop and it doesn't smell very much. We use Fresh Step Ultra Unscented (the perfumes that they add to the scented stuff bug my wife's allergies).

We have a diaper genie, and when we scoop, we put the stuff directly into that. We scoop daily and empty the diaper genie about once a week on trash day.

For the actual litter box, we use something we got from Container Store that was designed for holding newspapers for recycling. It has high sides on 3 sides, and a low side in front where the cat can get in/out - helps to keep the litter in the box when the cat is in there.
