The H2s are all 6 liter v-8s, AWD, and 8600 pound gvw
The H1s are all 6.5 diesels and they suck so much I wouldn't work on them.

I thiiiiiink Subaru did it first, here, in cars. Then Toyota did it with the Prius. The problem is putting much power through it. Also, Nissan is, ah, not great on the engineering front, so having them bolt a CVT to the back of their excellent VQ engines was a recipe for disaster.

People ask a lot of money for them, too. Most are 5 cylinders but there are a few with v-8s. They're all wheel drive and hard to see out of. I was working on one and the hood strut let go and the hood hit my glasses on the nose bridge and split my nose open. They didn't stitch it but used a special tape to close it. I had to write a report detailing how I would prevent a similar injury in the future.

DAF had a variable pulley CVT from 1960. Although I suspect that any imported into the states were more as privately imported curiosities. After all the market for a slow, sub-1 litre European city car named after a flower would have been almost non-existent back then.

Our family plans got rained out this afternoon, so we had to come up with some alternatives. After dinner, it had mostly stopped raining, though it was still windy and cool. The wife wanted to take the kids out to pick up desserts and then I had the bright idea of taking them over to a viewing area at the airport to eat said desserts and watch some planes.
I had happened across the viewing area while on the bike ride today and thought that the kids would get a kick out of it; it's just a mile-long access road that leads to 15-20 parking spaces and a couple picnic tables, but it's close to the some of the action. I was right - the boy, in particular, was bouncing all over the place. In our time there, we saw two planes land and another 8-10 take off, mostly medium-sized passenger jets. I think that we lucked out with the wind direction, too - the runway closest to us had the headwind, so a lot were taxiing over to take off from it.

Next time you are in my neck of the woods you need to take him to the virginia military aviation museum in va beach. It has the largest collection of WW2 and Ww1 flying aircraft. They have the only flying mosquito in the world, and a flying replica of an me 262. In october they have a ww1 airshow, and in the spring they do a ww2 airshow. The museum has a grass strip and is set up like a ww2 airstrip from England.

Yes hubcaps. We got the “base” LX model. The higher end models have fancier wheels.

Grew up 30 minutes from the Lordstown, Ohio plant. Lots of people from my area worked there when I grew up. GM had a bad run in the late 2000's. I had a 2008, 2009 and the 2011. They were all junk. Next time I got a car I hung my head in shame and bought a Honda. Will never look back.

Edit: I forgot, there was a couple Toyotas in there, too.
