I was just thinking about the time you were at training. Granted, I've never researched employing one, so I have no real idea how it works.

I honestly wouldn’t know how it works either, but even if it was something we could do, I don’t think she would want to. Now I am curious.

The thought of traveling alone with 2 kids causes Lily to freak out. Simon is just too difficult for her. He’s not even difficult. He acts exactly as I expect him too, but it’s so different from Amelia, and that’s the problem. Amelia was easy and chill. Where ever you put her she stayed and was always happy. Simon is go go go go go go go. Even if they did come out, I’ll be in class and they will be stuck in a hotel room. Not really ideal.

Fair enough, but if your daughter in law was at her wits end and there were dishes in the sink, would you add to those dishes, or maybe help clean them? Things like that. I don’t expect my parents to come to my house and clean, but they tend to get more things out and we have to clean up after them as well as the kids, it creates more work. That’s all.
My mom keeps saying she wants to watch the kids for us, but she’s never changed a diaper, and when I asked her too she made an excuse. How can you watch my kids if you can’t change Simon’s diaper? So I mention that and she doesn’t have an answer. Discussion should be over, but a week later she will start asking to watch the kids again.
Maybe I am coming off wrong, but it’s just something we have been going through since my parents have become grand parents.

Ugh. More bad news. So in May I knew I was going to bus school. Most training with my airline takes place in Texas. The bus school one has the option of doing it in Charlotte or Texas. This was a huge reason why I picked the Bus, so that I could do training in Charlotte. 4 hour drive vs 19 hour drive.
Well got my training schedule today and much to my dismay I am in Texas. Worse, my schedule makes it pretty much impossible to go home, so I will be down there for a month. I tried putting my foot down but quickly learned that means nothing. Lily is really upset, and honestly I felt sick to my stomach.
I was really looking forward to doing some crits in Charlotte as well as riding with some people I met last summer.
Told Lily that I will have to drive it. A. I get super stressed out on training and don’t need to be relying on other people to get me where I need to go. B. I’m not not having a bike for that long. C. Honestly have no idea how I would pack for 30 days, and I don’t have a bike case. Ritchey isn’t set up for travel currently.

On the other side, some friends of ours have two kids. Their son works from home, and their DIL works three days a week. But, everyday a kid is sick they are dumped off with the GPs even if mom isn’t working.
We would love to have grandkids and have them hang with us, but are steadfast that we are not going to be a daycare.

Sometimes we forget too. Can be mildly embarrassing, or sometimes hurt like hell.
