i realize 2004 isn't totally classic, but it is by Cervelo's standards:
Cervelo Renaissance - cervelo's only steel framed bike. This is the rarer, lighter, and more expensive (but not as pretty) steel framed + dura ace offering. The other being the Prodigy (which had nickel/shiny accents).
These were Cervelo's attempts at making a Paris-Roubaix specific steel framed bike.
Only 100 of these were ever made and at $1399 you could probably get that for the frame alone.

i have missed out on good bikes, thanks everyone for continuing to post the finds, things are just moving too fast in chicago. Guy just stood me up today after saying i could come over and look at his available bikes.

I've seen that bike in person. He brought it to the Copake swap & has had it for sale for about a year.

The stem is new but that fork is a standard Klein fork on an 89. MC1 came out in 89/90 as an option standard was a chrome fork with a black Sakae roller stem. Painted fork was an upgrade as well.

Ride it with joy as it for years, use it as the canvas for an eye popping mutant, whatever you decide though - honor its unabashed in your face 80'sness.
