Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In other news, have you recovered from the disappointment of our meet up being delayed? No Datlas sofritos in June.

Real grass only needs mowed once a week.

Nope. It's almost as depressing as watching this:

Theoretically, they should be faster everywhere. The power of 2 riders with the aero resistance of 1 (almost) and the bike weight can be a non factor. The problem with getting 2 great climbers on a tandem is they may prefer different cadences and have different ways of dishing out the power.
That's how my friends made it work, they had the same cadence. The captain was a good, not great climber on a single and the stoker was one of the best climbers I knew then. On the tandem they meshed so well they could drop great climbers on double centuries and other timed events.
They finished first on some local events.

The story of Joe Breeze and Otis Guy on a tandem was similar.

A few years ago, my wife and I were at a tandem rally near Huntsville, AL and went up a steep short climb on our tandem. The next morning, a local came up and asked if we knew that we had taken the KOM on Strava.

I'm sure the local single bikes were out on that climb the next day to make sure that their KOM was back in their grasp.

If I cut the rjones28 area lawns at 0.5 to 1.5 inches with a reel mower three time a week, I'd never have time to do anything else.

That's a human-powered reel mower.

That has no bearing on the rate of vegetation growth.

Normal grass does not grow fast enough that a weekly cutting is not sufficient.

Guess I'd better get out there and mow the two front lawns before it gets any hotter.

I didn't go there very much, as with the exception of a couple years, I lived on the other side of town. But it was bad enough seeing how dilapidated the now-demolished mall became.

But even worse, at the end of the video they found several photo albums in the mall security office with pictures of the mall in it's heyday ('80s-'90s). They showed the mall full of people, and different types of holiday/community events. It was kind of sad thinking about how we're never going to see that kind of thing again.

One more reason not to be me. I have to cut 90 of these for me plus 50 Pet Meds for little Roscoe. If we can put a man on the moon...
