Not in the post, perse, but I did mrs. Non-Fixie a favor by helping @non-fixie clean out his garage; this beautiful SOMEC frame was sadly too short for him to ride, so I'll try to give it a loving home. In perfect C&V spirit we had a nice afternoon yakking about old crummy bikes in a nice hipsterish bike shop/coffee place. I'm retiring the ALAN due to fork issues, and maybe I'll move the Super Record group from that one to this frame, although it's slightly out of date. Another option is finding a 10 spd rd + wheelset, so I can run a 2x10 with downtube shifters.
Anyway, this crummy iPhone pic doesn't do the beautiful paint+panto any justice. aside from some cable rub and one or two minor spots the frame is in great condition. the fork however is a replacement, but the style is right for this kind of frame.

Mrs non-fixie was very happy indeed to know that I'd actually sold a frame. She was even happier when I told that I'd only bought some parts at the Stalen Ros bike show / swap meet today.
What I haven't told her yet is that this is one of those parts:

Batavus headbadge (i thought). cool to buy and it was cheap.
in my hand, it doesn't seem to be a bicycle headbadge. perhaps for Batavus Moped?
still kinda cool to have.

I may officially ban myself from C&V purity and commit to loony rod bike forum. Pulled the trigger for a set of these. Worse, I have NO IDEA what I need them for but for $6 shipped........

A 30t Regina cog. I'm still content with a 13-26, but I figure it's good to plan ahead.

These actually came yesterday. They are for the WearRedShoesCentralPA campaign to raise awareness for the Ronald McDonald House.

Isn't there a kickstarter project that allows you to add a plate for spd clear attachment?

Sorry, these came yesterday. We are busy preparing to move. This pic was taken right before they were wrapped up and stowed away. Rear is "No Record". Presumably came from the guy's 60's Paramount. It will probably be a couple weeks before I can even think about cleaning them up.

100mm Nitto Technomic Deluxe for my '74 Raleigh Professional cause I need the handlebars higher.
Campagnolo #629 downtube cable stop for my bar end shifters. Finally I can replace the out of place suntour downtube cable stop. on my otherwise 100% campy bike.
