Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks for asking. As long as I do absolutely nothing more than hang in the hammock, getting up only to pee or get something to eat, it does well. Even trying to open a zip-loc bag is painful. The doc was not exagerating when he gave me those instructions. He also told me that re-attaching fingers is one of their most common surgeries. Mine was the second that day. And the man who occupied my bed, ahead of me, had the same injury. The nurses were very familiar with it.
Valladolid, unfortunately, has gone to mega tourism. It's really sad to see. Such a nice town.

We are making homemade pizza for dinner. No wood fired oven, sad!

But we do have a TT/Tri bike pizza cutter:

Thanks!

I like them all just fine, but the second one, with all of the stars, pulls at my heart strings. That's outside of First Avenue, a concert venue that shot to prominence with the rise of Prince (it was his home base and the club in Purple Rain). All of the stars are acts that have played First Ave - an act will occasionally get covered up in favor of another, but Prince will be there as long as the building stands, I think.

Got out for a second ride on the day, this time with the kids; the boy riding his bike, the girl in the Burley. 11 miles, around a couple of the neighborhood lakes. I was impressed with both: the boy for his endurance, the girl for not going bat**** crazy in the trailer.

A Scottish acquaintance posted today that he put shorts on today for the first time since the lockdown and somebody must have shrunk them.
