today i spent a wonderful 6hrs in the ER again after another run in with a car. dood in a jeep cut thru a line of cars into the bike lane and i was like "no way i can stop"
but the ER staff remembered me
I'm home now, huge massive contusions on my quads, sore neck, busted helmet, totaled bike (steamrollr) AND i ate at jack-n-the-box
but I'm totally fine..
don't know why i never show my teeth when i smile

Get well soon! How's your bike?
+1
Seriously, it just seemed like yesterday you posted a picture of yourself on a stretcher.
And BTW you showing your tongue in your smilie keeps making me think you got some sort of brain damage as a result... o.O

LOL. That fish is from the tape they had me strapped down with.
Thx for the well wishes just a bit stiff today and my left quad looks like chris hoy's
From what I foggily remember, the bike was folded at the head toob/down tooob junction
I just hate not remembering much from after the crash, would love to have seen the Sasquatch sized dent in the side of the jeep

had a front "break" (harhar)
dood was totally at fault... crossing a double yellow line is like going thru a brick wall!
went to get the bike, no one was at home at the fire station... i'll try back later.

Today I learned first hand that some roadies are just despicable during my morning commute to work.
Anyhow after stopping at the corner of the block, I saw a roadie coming but he was more than half a block away, so I felt no need to yield to let him pass. After doing so, with no possible danger to him, he goes pass me and yells "watch out a - hole; get a real bike". So, he didn't go that fast at all despite the seriousness of his build.
I ended up following him with just my normal pace without him knowing, thanks to the lack of derailleur and freewheel clicks. The route of my commute is a popular bike route. He goes on to look back and yells, "What's wrong with you, stop following me, you r*tard". There was a steep climb coming up and instead of responding to his insult again, yeah I'm very passive, I just simply sprinted up the hill, claiming him with ease but taking my sweet time to pass him from the outside, so he could get a good look. I even heard his gears all shifting in attempt to catch up to me but to no avail.
Anyhow, I think he took an alternate route as he was no where in sight as after, I actually wanted him to try to catch up in a straight section so I can go on a all out sprint on a townie.

I will be out there next thursday for music in the park.. there is another company who drives the carts.. theirs don't have the cover on top.. i wish i drove one of those honestly because you can really feel the wind resistance

Damn Jdgesus, breaks my heart to see this happen to you. Within the last month in a half or so there's been several news stories and about 20 bikers hit :/ it's really a bummer.
