My grandparents in France had a set of these...well, similar, at least....hers was a 3speed IGH & his was something along the lines of the one on Ebay but with a mens frame. Had racks & baskets so they could go into town & pick up wine, bread and whatever else My memory of these bikes is they were surprisingly light compared to what I was expecting. I had a chromo MTB at the time and I recall his bike feeling the same weight or maybe even lighter.

I just picked up one of these. Same equipment, same color, same excellent condition. I'm glad to know I can make so much money on it. Mine even still has the original vinyl seat bag. I've been tooling around on it. It's fun! Mine is a 1966. Got it on craigslist for $60!

Marinoni on Chicago CL. I post this in case there's a Marinoni expert or collector here. It's too rich for my blood at $500 and based on what I've found here, velobase, etc, the ad and pics don't even show that it's a Marinoni for sure. Lugs should be cutout, seatstays pantographed, and you'd think the seller would brag about the components if it was a top-line 'Special' model. [EDIT BELOW] Anyway...

This bike is in amazing condition, barely ridden, no rust. Perfect for getting around the city but also worthy of simply being put on display. Intricately engraved handlebars have the old engravings from before the design was simplified and are beautiful. With an all titanium frame and nearly brand new tubular tires, this is a great little classic bike. Price is negotiable, if interested call Matt at xxxxxxxx

that's a cool bike. There was one here in TN i saw on Ebay last year...I think it sold for well under $300...similar setup with factory internal wiring for lights & it had the generator...the seller & I both wished I'd been the high bidder 'cause I could have just come over & picked it up.

Unfortunately, if it's the one that I'm thinking of, it was powdercoated green. There's just something wrong about a bike that once had lovely English enamel being powdercoated. Still, it's a good deal for a classic rider. But, its collectible value is heavily compromised.
