Absolutely! Housing bubble!!! Housing bubble!! I know why it's bananas out there. Low interest rates combined with high demand and a shortage of available market ready homes. I also believe there is a lot of smoke and mirrors going on right now to keep things elevated.
Don't hate the Playah hate the game yo.
I got super screwed in the last bubble. I'm getting out before this next one pops.

I am getting ready to disassemble the new bike to service mine. I already have a wheels mfr. screw together sleeve bb in it. And it started making noise last Tuesday.
It's bad enough I contacted Hambini about a replacement for it.

It’s a beautiful spring evening. I went for a walk with mrs datlas, which was quite relaxing.
There is a training crit on Thursday evenings at a corporate park about 1/2 mile from our house. During our walk I saw a few cyclists obviously heading towards the race. In full tifosi style, I got off the road and clapped loudly as the riders went by, and yelled “Allez! Allez! ALLEZ!!”
Some of them smiled but most ignored me. At least I tried.

Jacked the ritchey up and got under the ole under carriage. Doesn’t make the noise when I pedal with my hands, nothing the crank arm can hit.
Only thing that made a similar sound was when I turned the bars. The front derailer cable came out of the cable stay on the frame at a weird angle. When I turned the bars it would make a tapping noise from the cable getting caught in the shifter. I zip tied it to hold it up and that fixed it. Prolly due to putting smaller bars on it and not putting new cables so the length was a little long.
I gave the chain a solid cleaning and re lubed it, will ride it tomorrow to see if that fixes the problem.

Pedal seated, make the noise? Now without pedaling move on the seat as if you are pedaling, make the noise? Pull on the bars like you are pedaling, make the noise?
Get out of the saddle and pedal, make the noise?
Do any of the above change the noise?
Ticks and creaks can be hard to diagnose. The frame itself can carry the noise to other places on the bike.
I would pull the b.b. and grease it just as a matter of course. 90% of the time that is where it's coming from. If it persists after that now it's a party.

Try these things to isolate the noise.

Never pulled a BB off a road bike. In my BMX days we would beat them out with a hammer and beat them back in, I am assuming that is not what I want to do here. How time consuming is it to do, and anything special I should be aware of that I might not think about doing?

If its BB30, or PF30 just get new bearings. Taking the old bearings out can result in damage. You should use a bearing removal tool like the Park BBT-30.4. And you'll need a long threaded rod with nuts and washers to install new bearings. Along with a little grease of course. But overall it's a fairly simple procedure. There are youtube videos to show generally how it's done.

I stopped watching Hambini videos a few months ago, but before I did, my general sense of his conclusion is that a Press-fit BB is not inherently bad design but requires really tight tolerances from the frame manufacturer, and if that if the BB shell is not close to perfect, the results may be crap.
I suspect that's an accurate assessment, but any confirmation out there? Luckily my bikes all have threaded BBs so I have not paid too much attention.

Some of my friends are doing this ride tomorrow. Looks hard but fun if you are into gravel.

Doesn’t make the noise when standing. Only when seated and pedaling. Going to take the saddle bag off and re torque the seat clamps. See if that solves it.

It has been my experience that 80% of the time or more, with noises related to pedaling, servicing the bb will either fix the issue or lead you to the actual issue. If not then it's eliminated from the possibilities list and you can look elsewhere.

In a perfect world sure it's great, but this world and the one these frames are manufactured in is far from perfect. I have 3 bikes with some form of bb30. The 2009 Tarmac has the bearings glued in with locktight, The bottle of which cost more than the bearings.
The 2011 Contador Especial, which was pf30, and converted to bb30 by a local shop. Is so far ok. It just needs greasing 3 or4 times a year. The bearings are tight still.
The 2016 disk frame which is Dub. I went directly to a Wheel Smith threaded converter because the fit of the bearing was so loose I could push it in with my hand.
I will eventually end up gluing this sleeve in with the appropriate $50.00 bottle of locktight at some point..
Everything has tolerances and when they gang up,, you get problems.
From now on threaded bb only for me..
