Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lezyne makes a nice mini pump. I have their Alloy Drive High Volume pump. Before I started carrying Co2 on the road, I had a Blackburn Air Stick. That was good too.

If you got that service from an auto mechanic you'd be looking for a new mechanic. This Clown gets paid for every failure. Nice work if you can get it.

I venture onto a lake. I’m back at the dock before it gets too angry.

Daughter sails as well.

I have a Topeak Pocket Rocket that clips into a bottle cage mount. The thing has been dependable for years though I mostly use CO2. I carry a Blackburn Double Shot high volume pump on the mtb.

EDIT: Brazed by Tsunoda. The bike has decals from both. Later on, Lotus (which was really just an American importer who had the bikes build under contract, I believe) had them build by Cinelli, in Italy, from Columbus steel. Apparently Champion #2 is equivalent to Columbus SP, so that's better for an old fat guy like me.

I went ballooning once, years ago.

We only got a few hundred feet up. It was neat then - no way I would be comfortable getting that far up there now.

Same here. We skipped across the tops of orange trees on final approach. That orchard is a housing development now, so running the same flight plan today would be less pleasant.

I have the Lezyne Road Drive, the Small one. Fits in a jersey pocket but will fill (eventually) a 28mm tire. I carry that one when riding the Canyon or the Bianchi. I have a Blackburn frame pump that fits the Battaglin and the Ritchey, and a Zefal that fits the Circuit, the Cannondale, and now Mrs. Peel.

Frame pumps are better than minipumps. Minipumps are better than making The Call Of Shame.

I can only see page 116 if I'm not signed in.

DougRNS the seasoned witch doctors don't even bother making promises. They just say, "Take this and see if it helps."

Another nod towards Lezyne. If not, still get one with a hose. The ones that directly engage pump head to valve stem are more likely to strain or even tear the tube at the valve.

Not from me it isn't. I felt so bad for whom ever it was living there. Jesus. This realtor has 2 of these on the market right now, within 2 blocks of each other. Words fail.

I can see the pencil mark, but it’s not in the middle of the circle, but I am also not sure it was ever in the middle of the circle. m If it did slip we are talking about a .5 of 1 mm so would I even notice that? I’ve ridden it a couple times since then, and once on the colonial parkway it hasn’t moved at all, and when I checked the torque of the clamp it is solid.

I am at the point where it might be in my head and I am trying to convince myself something is wrong when nothing is wrong, but now that the thought is there I can’t seem to shake it.

Don’t really expect to get any advice on this, just felt like sharing.
I know as I get into better shape my position gets more and more comfortable. Early in the season, if I've let things "go"....ahem. I am rather uncomfortable at first. So, as long as you aren't experiencing any problems I wouldn't worry.
