Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Don't get me started debating which was better, the 60s or the 70s. Insane amount of great music.

They were just warming up in '66, didn't get hot enough to push any body else off the list. But when they did, oooooh brutha!

Our station BITD was WLS - Chicago. This was during their golden age of playing the newest stuff. We spent many weekend afternoons sitting in the parking lot of the local Piggly Wiggly waiting for mom to do the grocery shopping (note that she didn't bring us in with her).

Fun fact: WLS was originally started by Sears, Roebuck & Co. to create demand for radios they sold. The call letters stood for "World's Largest Store".

Found it. Pinprick leak on rim side about 1cm from valve. Will check to make sure no burr inside rim, but I am guessing stress near valve from pump head.

Indeed. I've recently decided to shifted my philosophy to "run what you brung," but in a physiological sense. My w/kg at FTP isn't great, it's never going to be great, and because of that I'm just not going to be that guy that's first up the hill among relatively strong club riders. So I'm just not going to focus on that as much and I'm going to play to my relative strengths, instead. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to neglect my weakness, but I'm not going to let the FTP fetishism rule my recreation.

For those keeping score at home, waxed Chain #1 is just under 400 miles and hasn't been touched yet. It's definitely not dead silent any more, though, and I might swap it out for Chain #2 after another ride or two. Drive train is still nice and clean, 'specially considering the gross spring conditions.
