Not many steel bikes in that area, someone was looking at a Battiglin in the area and this bike was posted in the how much is it worth forum.

That might be wishful thinking. I highly doubt that the person who has their one brake brake set up so the pad hits right around middle of THE TIRE cares about hiding a sawed-off hanger!

I picked up an A2R of the same year, about a month ago. Barrel of fun and a head-turner, but it has a rather low BB; this one is at least 2-3 notches higher on the totem pole, and I noticed a lot better BB clearance. V-brakes, adjustable stem and (I think) RD are not original. Yeah I'd be all over it if it were local. Reference info for the terminally curious - https://www.barracudabicycles.com/
