This was an older model C4.0. Not sure what happened. The good news is that the rim was undamaged and it has been rebuilt with CX-Rays and a DT 240S.

I am ordering wheels but I am trying to decide what will be best. The wheels will be going on a brand new CAAD10 3. I am going to take the wheels from the CAAD and use them on my Specialized Roubaix Elite.
I am a weekly club racer and I ride about 8000 km a year. Its flat here with a few hills.
The 2.0 is light but the 3.0 is lighter than what I have and maybe more aero.
I am leaning towards the 3.0 but the 2.0 are so light......

General rule of thumb is that aero won't matter much unless it's at least 40mm-50mm deep. Between the 2.0 and 3.0, I would take the 2.0 (I have the 2.0 and C5.0). The 2.0's are very light and make a good race/climbing wheel. Solid wheelset.

I ordered the 3.0. I'm certain they will be fine for my needs and they are lighter than the Aksium that are on my CAAD10. Why does Mavic have a rim/tire combo? Can you even buy these tires?
Anyway, these semi aero rims will be lighter and they will certainly look nicer. Can't wait to get them on.

Got my 3.0 wheels today. They look great and are as light as advertised. I went for the Ti skewers for a bit of bling and rim plugs instead of tape.
The wider width is really noticable. I am curious to try them out. But with 15cm of snow coming and -16 it may be a while.

I received my S4.0s yesterday. Ten days to my door.
Buddy approves of my new wheelset.
ON the bike.
Check out the hub sound.
Proper outside pictures when I go riding tomorrow.

Your saddle looks like its tilted down a lot. Is that just an angle thing, or is that really what it is?

So went to test out the S4.0s about an hour ago...
I'm never ridden aero wheels before and boy did I have a scare. A side wind hit me and made me veer into the road pretty abruptly. I'm not a tiny guy, so I wasn't expecting to be tossed around like that.
Some observations: the wheels are stiff, but not as stiff as my Easton Circuits. I love the hub sound! They are easy to spin up, much like the circuits, but they hold speed WAY better. I was cruising at around 23-25 mph on a flat road without issue (minus sidewinds).
To give you an idea of how windy it was today I took a small video.

I was riding against that and was barely managing 13-15 mph with sand all on my face. Anyhow, here are some pictures.

Hey everyone, I thought I'd share something that happened to me regarding the S4.0 wheels. Last July, as I was getting ready for a ride, I lost my balance and fell over onto my bike. Don't ask me how it happened and it's embarrassing to even mention it, but I guess it happens. Anyway, I fell onto the back wheel and later noticed that I dented the side wall of the rear S4.0 wheel. In fact, the dent was rather large and covered about a good 6-7" of the wheels surface. I wasn't sure how badly I had damaged the wheel, so I decided not to ride that day. I took it to the LBS and they took a closer look, trued the wheel and sent me on my way. (The side wall still has the dent). This past week, (April 2013), while on the group ride from the shop, I broke a spoke. I of course removed the spoke, checked the wheel (it was really un-true at this point), opened the brake lever and rode back to the shop. It was a bit of a rough ride, but I made it. I left the wheel with the shop and they replaced the spoke and trued it once again. I wasn't sure if the spoke eventually broke because of the damaged wheel from last summer's incident, or if it just happened to be because of the way I ride. I should mentioned that the spoke broke where the thread end of the spoke is attached to the nipple. The guys at the shop seemed to indicate that it was unrelated to the dent, but to keep an eye on it just the same. The mechanic said that he had to actually reshape the wheel back into a circle. I don't really understand how that works, but the wheel is as true and circular as ever now that it has been fixed. The 6-7" dent is still in the sidewall, but is half masked by the Soul decal.
I'll try to keep everyone updated on the situation. The LBS said that if I end up breaking another couple of spokes in a months time, the wheel might need to be re-laced.

First ride on new s2.0 23mm wide rims this arvo.
I wasn't ready for how loud the hub was going to be, coming from the Shimano R500 wheelset I replaced.
The difference in weight when riding is very noticable. Much faster getting up to speed, and general rolling lightness.
Very pleased with the difference they've made to the bike.
I weigh 60kg on a bad day, so I'm making these my everyday wheelset.

Selle recommends running the SMP saddles level to 5 degrees nose down depending on rider preference. I believe they initially advise you to level the middle part and adjust from there.
