Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I refuse to adapt and pretty sure that I won't be an early adopter, either.

I braved the perils for a West Knox County cycling experience.

Saw three or four other cyclists along the way.

It was awful. Today too. Yet another unprecedented event due to climate change. SMFH

We had a good ride. Only 2 regulars skipped, one a younger woman with asthma, and one an older guy with a worried wife. I yelled at everyone to keep the pace modest, and they mostly behaved.

I gotta say, any place where you can't escape because the planes can't take off is not a place for me.

Re-route to TYS.

Prepare yourself for the onslaught of New Yorkers that were hoping to return from Fla.

Simple, they get no takeoff clearance.

I'm sure BAM can elaborate.

CNBC said halted, not rerouted.

You know that they do the same things when there are storms over airports.

Just the other night there were big storms over DFW, and all flights in were halted

One of my smoking buddies had a father who was a chiropodist and he smoked Camels and his wife smoked Lucky Strikes. When all the damning info became hard to ignore, he assured us that he had "built up immunity" and he would never be harmed by smoking. We rarely stole his Camels but we did grab some Luckys from the Mom.

My mother smoked True cigarettes and my father liked Di Nobili cigars.
