If you still have that Bianchi seat and are interested in selling, PM me. Been having a heck of a time finding one on the local CL.

Alley find 1973 Raleigh Super Course. Bare frame, sprayed pea soup green. Restored, fixed frame issues, repainted Toyota Spruce Mica. Longer description is in "Show us your Super Course" thread. Got the "before" and "after" pics switched, but you get the idea.

Sorry, but I'm going to use it on a '92 Bianchi Project - 3 I just purchased a couple weeks ago. It's a bit rough looking, but has great bones and the Deore shifters and derailleurs work well. When finished, I'll probably have another post to contribute here.

That seat came off my '04 Eros that I use for my daily commuter. I swapped it out for a Brooks Flyer.

Good luck.

Thanks. I built up a Project 3 a year or two ago. Fun bike. Fit wasn't great so I sold it, but if I ever found one my size I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

Picked up this frame last year, built it up from my parts bin. No thing of beauty and it's a bit on the small side but it rides like a dream.

What was the reason for the repaint? aesthetics or necessity?

Looks very nice, BTW!

Thanks. The paint was tired, scratched and rusty.

Did you paint it yourself? I'm also looking at stripping and painting my old scratched up Trek as well.

Yes, I painted it with Rustoleum and Spray Max 2K urethane. I can't honestly say how durable it is; however, with that being said, I ride my bikes hard but wipe them down afterwards.

BEFORE

1999 Marinoni saved-from-the-recycling-bin (last Tuesday) due to large top tube dent. Originally a Dura-Ace bike. Columbus MAX tubing (with EL unicrown fork). Dirty, sad, dented, they asked if I wanted to have it and after getting over being asked if one wants a Marinoni, I said of course! Used a pair of busted inner tubes to secure fork to frame and frameset to myself as I hung it over my shoulders for the long trek home. This was her state when I got back to the Bat Cave:

And this is her after it was all said and done a few days later. Fantastic and beautiful bike!

Amazing how "proper" a vintage bike looks with modern components. Looks very sharp, @Viperplayer5220.

Sad that there is no longer any Splash cork tape on it anymore.

But job well done otherwise.
