Raleigh International, Raleigh Team, Mercx...immaculate, all the same size (Bob Freeman's size, to be precise).

Here's some from my meager photo skillz.
Great show, well worth the trip, checked a lot of boxes, Jeff's great SC, Bob's stunning work, many like minded and not so much enthusiastic folks to talk with, Hetchins curly stay, Calvin and Hobbes Erikson, M Petry's new to him Moto TC that cleaned up very nicely. and many others.
Always interesting to talk with well versed bike folks that have never heard of Merz, Newlands or DiNucci especially if they are from the PNW and have been around for a long time. Of course they know what they are looking at even when they don't know the who so its all good and it gives me a chance to bring more onboard.
Quote of the day was "It was worth the trip just to see two Merz's in the same place at the same time", and of course he did know exactly who the 3 PDX masters are.

Yeah, I've got some more...
Alex's Eddy Merckx; Ken's wooden Renovo is behind it:
Alex's full-panto Colnago Super:
Tiny TS Isaac:
Lot's of cool bikes fronted by a very small Medici...
...that had an interesting solution to joining the top and down tubes to the head tube:
Two orange beauties: 1982 Schwinn Superior (with mods) and ca. 1980 Colnago Super:
Details from the "Calvin and Hobbes"-themed Erickson:
Steve's Erickson - the red and blue colorway is really outstanding. Surely a covet-worthy bike:
Jacob's Colin Laing; today was his first ride on it:

Since Anacortes is only about a 1.5 hour drive from my place, I always plan on closing out the season with this show. I find myself at the end of the day wishing I'd had more time to chat to more people about more things...you know what I mean? Well, there's always Bob's show next July...
It was great riding with and catching up with friends, and making some new ones, too. Hanging around cool cycling people and a bunch of gorgeous bikes on a gorgeous-weather Sunday put the cap on a really nice week. See you next year

No worries Jeff, I was late then of course was caught up with folks that did and didn't know of Merz, I'm always happy tell what I know of him although I'm sure the ones who didn't are probably sorry they asked by the time I get done with them.
It was great to see your Bianchi in real life, it is truly stunning after you working it over, many oohed and ahhed while I was standing there, very cool to be a bystander when people are enjoying themselves from what they see, great stuff.
The one pic of the ride really makes me disappointed with myself not getting there for it, wasn't in the cards, I would probably have to come the day before to make that happen.
I wouldn't hold my breath on a Portland ride, but I would encourage you to go on the next ride @gugie puts together, that man's got it going on for rides.
Good to see you again.

We did miss you on the ride, but it was cool catching up for a few minutes before you had to load up and head out. Thanks for the nice words regarding the Bianchi; I did note a crowd around it a couple/three times during the day. I figure it's the color that draws them in and they stay for the details
I'll be watching to see if anything ride-wise shows up down there before school starts. After September 23 I will have to work things into my school schedule...

Van, first off - great pics! Looks like we duplicated a couple, but for the most part you seem to have gotten every bike in one way or another. That's good, because there were a ton of awesome bikes and my camera never seemed to want to work consistently! I'm happy I got what I got. Thanks for posting yours
