Finally finished my new ride.
1986 Merckx Corsa Extra, with a modern flair.
I kept the original Dura Ace gruppo, including the tubulars, and had the painter paint the fork with correct decals as well, just in case I ever want to take her back to stock.
Full Sram Red group. 52/36 compact crankset, steel cage pro/race/team/whateveritis front derailler.
Winwood carbon fork
Chris King headset
Zipp Post, stem, bars
Spinergy Stealth PBO Wheelset (until I can convince my wife that I NEED 404's on it)
Continental GP4000 tires.

It could be. With the heavy cassette, pedals, cages, tube sealant, and a ton of seatpost in the seat tube, it tips the scales at 19 even. Not a lightweight by any means, but not too bad either. I could definitely make it lighter, but I could also stand to lose 10 lbs of stomach too.

Beauty! Nice job of color-matching the seat, tape & pedals, especially!
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any Centurion Ironman that is thy neighbour's.
I've been scanning this website for some way to contact the seller (/braggart), but thankfully it appears it's not for sale:

My 89 Centurion Master, resurrected, fixed up, and delivered to me by Robbie Tunes..May the Bicycle Gods bless him forever more!!
Needless to say, with the Shimano Brifters this bike has taken my heart, with its ride and looks. Can't stay off it..
The upgrade brifters on the 89 Master has me on the hunt for brifters for my 88 Expert.. Got to get them..

Ok I think I've posted this picture a few times now, but it ultimately belongs here.

87/88 Bianchi Sport SX
This is a 87 or 88 Bianchi Sport SX in celeste. I upgraded it from the stock Shimano Exage group. I don't have this one anymore but it's equipped with Shimano 1055 8 speed brifters with matching components. If it hadn't been too small for me (51 cm) I would have kept it. My LBS cold set the frame to fit the 130 rear hub.

I'm so happy with this bike. Any excuse to post pictures of it.

I have not bought any bike or anything for my bikes in quite awhile, mainly because I have not been looking. On a whim I checked my local CL and came across a nice deal on a semi-modern bike, the very next day I found another.
I got the Peleton with very few of the original parts on it. I stripped it down and used parts from the other bike to build my wife up something new. It is not quite finished yet. It has a shimano FD on until my braze on adapter arrives in the mail. I will also change out the crankset at some point.
My wife will take it on its maiden voyage tomorrow, but it performs well on the bike stand. Hopefully I will get some better pics of it tomorrow.

This is my 1986 Trek 400. Reynolds 531 Frameset.
This was a great project and I learned a lot along the way. With the help of my local shop I chased and faced the BB, spread the rear dropouts from 126mm to 130mm and aligned the rear dropouts and deraileur hanger.
The bike has a full 105 5700 component group minus the brakes, which are long reach Tektros. Nitto Noodle handlebars and Nitto Technomic Deluxe stem. Kalloy Uno seatpost and Fizik Aliante saddle. The wheels were built by me (First Time!) and are Mavic Open Sports laced to a 105 5600 hub in the back and a twenty-year-old NOS Shimano XTR hub up front.
It's not the lightest, and it's not the fastest but it sure does ride nice and I'm pretty proud of it. Hope you like it!

Running on plenty
Not entirely sure this qualifies as a truly 'old frame', but its close enough. 1991 Gazelle Champion Mondial AB with 2008 Veloce gear. Frame was 130 spaced from factory, so that made it easy. Wheels and seat are temporary...on the scout for a white Arione and some classic silver rim/stainless spoke wheels for her.
