The stem is a little wonky, like you stole it off a mountain bike, but I'll bet it's plenty comfy to ride. Do you have enough brake cable there? It looks close.

That's what it came with. I was kind of a rash purchase last year that was deffinatly not my best choice but I'm working on it.

The VISP gets a $60 remake
I was getting tired of the TT bars and fashionable but not very comfortable Selle San Marco Rolls saddle, so I got a Charge Spoon saddle and a Hood Rat handlebar for the result you see attached. Amazingly, the bike lost nearly a pound in the process, and now weighs in at exactly 19 lbs. Not light, but a lot better than before. I used some old Tektro R100 hooded brake levers and an old TruVativ 90mm stem. The bar tape is black Easton Velo cork. I think the black saddle and bar tape look a lot better than their white predecessors. The Hood Rat bar is great for riding on the tops and its narrow compact shape makes the drops a lot more comfortable as well. Please don't say anything about the orange front tire; it's the last good road tubular I've got right now.

I had a bike setup with a stem that looks like that and some bullhorns and it was the most comfortable setup I've ever owned, especially for hills. In fact, here's a shot.....as you can tell....I could care less how "cool" it looked and I couldn't even tell you how many thousands of miles are on this thing...

Not very often, that's the thing, and the arm rests prevented me from riding on the tops. I don't find TT bars all that comfortable, and they are not very stable. So, mostly, I was just riding on the hoods. If there's a strong headwind or I'm bombing hills, I'll just ride on the drops.

Mas VISP
Tweaked the bar position a bit, rotated up and raised 5mm. Top cap is now directly on stem. No more penile appendage. Took for about 15 mile ride, and am really pleased with the new setup. Charge Spoon saddle is real comfy wearing just cotton low rise briefs under sweat pants with no padding, so should be good for longer rides with padded bibs. The ride isn't bad on smooth roads with the aluminum fork, and the bike has a nice buttoned up feel to it. Maybe I'll get a carbon fork and better headset for it one of these days, maybe not. Right now I've got super spinny 43 x 18 (63 gi) gearing on it, so this is going to be my winter spin workout bike. Got home and all the chainring bolts were loose. Wondered what all that crunching and grinding noise was about. One bolt wouldn't tighten or loosen, and the nut tool kept slipping so I had to drill it out. Replaced them all with a spare set of knurled chainring nuts and bolts. That's all for now, carry on.
