There is a bitumen 450 metre track just 2 minutes from where I work, close enough to get some laps in on my lunch break . Not a perfect track but the location in totally cool.

The undercover wooden 250 metre track is over 2 hours away by car

Sorry, I lost the point of this thread, (Actually I never understood the point from the beginning.)

I must apologize for being too utilitarian but I haven't yet found a use for this thread.

(I shouldn't be a wiseacre but I'm being one today because I tire of seeing this thread.)

Also 113 miles and 3 hours from Sonoma county. Under good conditions, like 3 AM.

I was considering trying track riding, but was trying to see if I was being a little girl by not wanting to drive 4 hours round trip every time I wanted to hit the track.
Sorry if you don't see the point. You didn't have to click on it.

old thread lol.

I'm 2.5-3 hours each way, and I went maybe 10-12 times this last summer. Long day but I liked it. Racing may be short but I was up there 2-3 hours each time.

I sleep on the infield of the local track. Beats having to pay rent and I get to ride as much as I want.

I live in Kansas City Missouri, The closest track is St Louis Mo and that is four hours (each way) away and that track is in pretty bad condition, the next closest is Chicago 8 hours away (each way) . It sucks having 5 track bikes , and no tracks close by.
