Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good club ride today. It was listed as an A- ride but felt more like an A ride. I held on for the duration.

Brand new Schwalbe ONEs...and of course I ganked one good, seals up fine but on a good hit at speed the puncture reopens/seals...repeat...:

I must NEVER run out of sealant. I unseated it in order to patch this, not for nothing but these are a BEAR to get off the RAIL52s, ..I would not want to be throwing a tube in on the road. requires two levers and some lube.

These tires are otherwise very robust, was a hard hit.

Ouch! Heck of a cut.

I had my own snafu today. I broke a spoke on my carbon rims and they use a T-head spoke. with hidden nipples. It happened 20 miles into my 82 mile ride and the sag guy loaned me his own carbon wheel to finish the ride.

I caught the same rain. Was coming down the West side as the clouds rolled in and it started to squall. So I dropped the hammer in order to get to the BK bridge and outran it. 1232.67 watts.

This sucks. Tire is patched but you can tell it's structurally damaged:

When are you guys going to start whining about really hot weather? All this talk about temps in the 30 to 40 degree range makes me think you are living next door to me and we're well into winter, not on the other side of the world in the Northern Hemisphere summer!
