Agreed, all the excitement of the fourth preseason game - even for the winning side.
Bears should have kept Cutler, same results but more fun ranting afterwards.
Also if your going to headshot the opposition, it would seem better to take out the all pro QB and not the #3 WR. Give your team a chance.

The heat and humidity have returned. I'll have to try and get out early tomorrow, or this evening if it doesn't rain. I bought some dark chocolate, nut, fig, date, etc. bars at Costco yesterday, as an experimental fueling option. The trick will be to stay out of them unless I'm riding.

We are at LoP's mom's house and she has a sofa, a loveseat, and two things which don't seem to be the right size to be called either. I usually think of couches as being more casual but I guess it's a regional thing. My grandma was born in Michigan and she said "davenport"- sometimes shortened to "daveno" but not by her- but she said her parents had had a "Chesterfield".

And my folks grew up saying mangoes for what we now call sweet peppers. In my childhood home, we had a davenport.

I would say there are probably not davenports still in Michigan. Also Chesterfields, the furniture, appear to involve a lot of tucking and fancy fabrics. There won't be one in my near future. It is hoped that getting rid of the shag carpet- especially in the room where it wasn't stretched properly- will happen in the next year. I understand this house was built in the 70s but the carpet is just too hot for Phoenix.

Learning Spanish is on my list for this year and I started some online lessons yesterday. Amusingly, it is European Spanish rather than Latin American Spanish and there seems to be a lot of hissing due to all the "th" sounds. Also, if I ordered a "tostada" and got a piece of toast without even avocado or Nutella, I'd be bummed.

Your kidding. They called capsicums mangoes? That is elevating mangoes far above their deserved station. What a poor substitute for a peach!

Panuchos and salbutes being the main two. One has the tortilla fried in oil and the other doesn't.
I look forward to chatting with you in spanish.

Be that as it may, I looooooved seeing them on my competition's bikes in transition. Crazy slow, and I've never had a GP4K flat in a race (knock on wood). The stuff that has flatted them in training rides would also typically flat a Gatorskin, which does happen.
