Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I ordered from PBK and received the order about 10 calendar days later. I thought they were touting a US warehouse or something, so I thought the shipping would be a few days quicker. But the order was fulfilled and shipped from UK, as usual.

I ordered from Wiggle last Friday evening. It was dispatched today (Monday) which isn't unusual for a weekend. ETA is about a week from now. I've ordered from both in the past and this is very typical for shipping Sometimes it gets here quicker - maybe 1 calendar week from order to receipt, but 10 days isn't bad, imho.

I ordered something from Chain Reaction about a year ago, and it was about the same.

10 days total is good IMO. CCC is very quick from my experience. I ordered last September and it took 1 week arrive at my door.

My Saturday order got dispatched on Sunday. I checked my tracking # a few minutes ago, and still no updates. Guess it's in transit between the 2 countries.

An update/recap of my order...ordered from Merlin's last Thursday, it shipped out Friday and was delivered, via UPS, yesterday (Monday).

Meanwhile, I placed an order with CC at the same time, and it's not scheduled for delivery till Thursday.
It was also shipped with UPS

UPS took it at the customs? Merlin's website says they use FedEX, I would have thought they would stay with the same carrier from A to Z.

On my end, I checked my tracking # and it seems like Canada Post is waiting for the package to arrive in the country. It looks like it's still in UK.

It was with UPS the entire time.
During checkout, UPS was the only listed shipping option, so I'm not sure if they are back to normal(ish), or if the carrier varies depending on the country of destination...either way, it arrived much quicker than anticipated, so I'm happy

I ordered a pair of tires from Wiggle today with their regular free shipping. Says should be delivered by May 1. We'll see. But since I'm not in any hurry, if it gets delayed due to the pandemic it's not a big deal to me.

I noticed a big jump in minimum amount purchased from Merlin for free shipping.

It was 100$ for me. I am not sure where about you live, but I can understand them not offering free international shipping under that price mark.

Relying on previous posts, it seems like the pandemic can accelerate shipping time. Keep us updated, I'm curious.

Yeah. It used to be around 60$. Now it’s around twice that. Not sure what’s changed. Maybe the virus thing.

If they switched to FedEx I’d guess that’s why

I ordered wheels from PBK last Friday 17 April and got a message that the item will be dispatched 48 hours from now (22 Apr). I also ordered an Ultegra Crankset from Merlin Cycles today (22 Apr). We'll see what happens.

Ordered a wheelset from Chainreaction on Monday April 13, they were shipped on Tuesday the 14th and I received them on Thursday the 16th (Northeast Florida). I did pay an extra $6.99 for "expedited handling" and CRC took care of customs. I'm not sure how much either of those two factors affected the shipping time, but I was surprised to receive the package so soon.

I also just recently ordered from ChainReaction. EXCELLENT service and very fast shipping, maybe even faster than some shops in the USA.

I concur. Ordered once from CCC and it took 1 week to get to my door, including customs clearance.

Regarding my current Merlin Cycle order of April 18, 2020, it's still somewhere between UK and Canada. I hope it does arrive today at the airport & gets dispatched over the weekend for a Monday delivery I need these pedals!

ChainReaction was always fast before they were purchased by Wiggle/Ribble, but then everything changed. It's good to see they are fast again.

My tires I ordered from Wiggle on 4/21 are scheduled to be here Monday 4/27. Not bad since it took an extra day for them to process the order and considering the current world situation. This was with their free shipping.

Also ordered a cassette from Merlin on 4/22. It has shipped but I don't have a delivery date on it yet although I expect it next week sometime.

What does the tracking say? Give a call to the carrier.

My order is stuck at the customs since last Friday. They are so slow. Thought it would be released during the weekend.

Merlin has been spot on—package arrived within 4-5 days of order placement. Wiggle, which owns Chainreactioncycles, had a picking delay of two days but shipping took only four days. Sportpursuit stated orders would take a month to ship so I cancelled.
