Whoa, time warp! It must be 2024, if a bike from '64 has been stored for 60 years.... (No DS photo and vertigo-inducing garage hanger angle are just bonuses. At least he didn't post an unedited pic with it hanging upside down...)

Vintage Schwann bicycle - $135 (Sun Prairie)

This is my orginal first two wheeler. It is from 1963 or 1964. It has been store indoor for the last sixty years. Green, two speed, with a pedal shift and back-pedal brakes. Very comfortable seat. I had it reconditioned about 8 years ago and I used it a lot. It would need reconditioning again.

Let's see...two brake levers on the bars and a front caliper and a rear caliper on the bike, plus a Sturmey-Archer trigger on the right side of the bar, a Sturmey fulcrum clip on the lower downtube and what looks like a Sturmey rear hub. Methinks the seller is getting forgetful about his bike, or else the last time it was reconditioned somebody snuck in some different parts. Wanna bet which is more likely?

^^^^ Maybe it picked up all those extra parts during the eight years it was in the time warp....

Too Meta?

Are bikes still selling on Craigslist? - $1 (Durham)

"For years I have had great success selling bikes on CL. Lately, response to my ads has fallen off to almost nothing. I get much more response from ads placed on Facebook Marketplace.

Have others had the same experience? I try to price my bikes lower than similar bikes on CL and that usually gets me a response within a day or two. Frequently within hours. Now it may be weeks and frequently no response at all.

What is your experience with CL these days?"

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...654085535.html

(Real post; not mine. I would reply but don't do that on CL anymore; I use FB Marketplace these days.)

BTW, can those posting about Spy-book ads please post any pics and/or text that qualify it for Wacky World status, for those who choose not to toss their privacy over that cliff?

A different spin on the concept of rounding up the wagons. That's a lot 'o bikes, and the gentleman has his power-suit on (Gordon Gecko takes notes).

This is a one of a kind "bud light" beer holder mountain bike!! - $75000 ("Gilbert town" aka lake view Al)

Ok guys what I have here is this one of a kind mountain bike with freaking shocks up front???? I mean shocks my first car didn't have shocks like this bad boy does!!

I swear every where I rode this bike lady's would chase me down because it looked so damn good,or it could have been my looks but that is not the point.

A d!ldo seat can be added for a extra charge.

Thanks
Anyway it will jump to infinity and beyond and be fast like lightning McQueen.

You can ride a wheelie for days and never wreck. Great balanced bike. It's really the best out there.

The reason for selling: here we go I am getting chocked up because me and this bike go way back way way back.
Child support is due and I need to get my baby's mommy paid so she can buy her some new "church" clothes yea right aka stripper clothes.

It will hold one can of bud light and that makes this bike the price it is.
Pics from ad:
