A hundred bucks for a Reynolds 753 Bob Jackson? Are you kidding me?!?! I guess the crack must be scaring people away. Reynolds 753 and "in need of frame repair" is generally a bad combination, but at that price if it were anywhere near my size I'd be talking to @gugie about whether or not he could fix it. It wouldn't be nearly the worst 753 frame I talked to him about.

A good price ($200) on what appears to be a 1982 Trek 613. The only model I could find with Suntour Blue Line S RD and Reynolds 531 frame. I may go get this myself if I can make it happen. And it's my size.

Shift cabling, and double chainring means it's an '82 613. Funny, I don't remember mine having adjustment screws on the dropouts. But that was 30 years ago.... Hmm, serial number suggests it was born as a 614, so double chainring may be a swap. Still a sweet midrange from their golden era, only caveat would be the possible "death fork".

It's just a tad large for me... I'm more of a 54cm. Would be a great bike.
Still mostly on the hunt for a steel touring frame.... 😅 N+1 though..

^^^^^ I'm the last guy to advocate globalism, but there really needs to be an international law requiring anyone who geezer-mods a road bike to place the original bar, stem and brake levers (ESP. the brake levers) in escrow until such time as the bike is put up for sale.
Just sayin'.....

The original Ishiwata fork had a rather cheap crown, and there are reported cases of the blades separating from the crown. Forks on higher (and later) models had a better investment cast crown. AFAIK it was rare, but something to know about; just do your own searching on something like "trek death fork" or the like. My only personal experience is with the '82 613 I bought new, rode for several thousand miles, including 500 miles loaded for touring on some of Ireland's steeper mountain roads, without incident.
