gonna get a taller stem shaft or steerer tube extender and bring those puppies up. yesterday on a midrange ride I kept releasing the bars and reaching up for a taller grip as I used to when going from my other bikes' drops to their hood position, except I was already on the hoods, lol ... these drops are way low for this 53 yr old ...

New Powertap training wheels
these just came to replace my failing PT training wheel.
I also got a used pair of 7800 series Dura Ace brakes to replace the crappy Cervelo OEM brakes on my TT bike.

I bought this baby about 2 weeks ago as my first road bike and have been riding it to work everyday. Already I can tell that I have more energy when I get to work instead of taking the bus and losing weight while having fun. I still have to take it on a run down the lake shore trail though.

The only thing that would make that faster and you happier would be clipless pedals and shoes.

I just bought this 8-speed campy wheel, to go with my new NOS 8-speed campy chorus RD for my 1996 Lemond. (The NOS 8-speed chorus RD replaces the stock campy mirage RD, which has some broken parts and has gotten very hinky.)
BTW, this is my everyday bike, not a C&V build for show.
Once I get this wheel and the RD on, the only original parts on the bike will be the frame and the front wheel.

You think so? I've been a little hesitant to get them since I've never used clips before. Kind of scared I won't get down my foot in time if I have to brake fast or something. Also, money is a little bit of an issue. My girlfriend also just invested in a bike

just use what's comfortable for you now and when you're ready to spend some money on clips then go for it.

I tried all the Specialized saddles and most of the Fizik road saddles, but none worked for me. My LBS owner told me to try out this Fizik Gobi XM saddle and I fell in love with it. He said it was from a pull and let me have it for $40..
