Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Feeling pretty normal 40 hours after Pfizer #3. Checked my pulse as a surrogate for temperature and it's right around normal for this time of day. The Older and Younger Boys are both feeling a lot better - the booster hit both of them pretty hard.

It's foggy this AM, not to mention chilly - 41 degrees last I looked.

Finally a chance to ride the Ritchey with its new wheels, and I find myself second guessing - "It's foggy, the roads are probably moist. Do I really want to ride a steel bike?"

Holy smokes! It's not made of sugar! It won't melt! Neither will I, for that matter.

A new year, new possibilities.

I might even become a new road cyclist in 2022.

Maybe.

I used to take .8mg of Flomax for bph, also three different blood pressure meds. One day, working in the garage, I leaned down then stood up, fainted and split my nose completely in half from falling onto the edge of a bench grinder. Spent the night in busy covid times in emergency waiting for a surgeon to sew it up. My doc said that the Flomax relaxed my vessels too much. Reduced it to .4mg.
