I really think that if you swapped in a shorter stem that bike would fit you like the cat's pajamas.
If you insist that you need a smaller frame, I've got a red 57cm (center-to-center, both measurements) '88 Schwinn Super Sport frame that I'd swap.
Tenax tubing, racing geometry. Paint is about the same shape as yours overall.
Just remember that on a smaller frame, your seat post will need to be boosted even more than what we see in your pics if it's adjusted for you now.

Thanks. I really dig the paint on your IM. Off topic I just set the valve lash after sliding a bigger cam into the crate motor I dropped into my '76 Chebby pickup (referencing your handle ).

Ha! They're exactly the same size as your Ironman. If you're on a desktop, you can see I have an '88 Ironman too - same size as yours! I just rode the RB-1 yesterday and it's definitely a keeper, especially in the 650b conversion. The Ironman hasn't been ridden in a couple of years and needs to. Every time I think about selling the Serotta I take it for a ride and the thought disappears.

Except for my wife's bikes and my MTB's, my road bikes are all 60 cm center-to-center.

70s Raleigh Grand Sports

Hello, I've got a 70s Raleigh Grand Sports with French bits stuck on it. There's some rust on it, but nothing serious. I think the dimensions are 57cm for the top tube and 60cm for the seat tube. I believe it's full Reynolds 531; the stamped (?) dropouts are by Zeus. Derailleurs and shifters are by Simplex that have cracked, and it has a Stronglight crankset. I want to love this bike but it's just way too big for me. I would like to trade this for a Miyata, preferably a later 710, between 50-53 cm. Thanks for looking.
Edit: I'm looking to keep the trade local to Portland, OR for the time being.

@philpeugeot, your seat is raised high. There's no way the frame is too big for you. Maybe the reach is too long or low.

noglider I should have also mentioned that I'm 5'3". I bought this a few years ago thinking I would grow into it, but that growth spurt never happened.

It may be too small for @gugie, but he is local to you and has a Raleigh Gran(d) Sport(s) fetish.

Perhaps he would have something that could work for you?

So you're saying the saddle isn't set to the right height for you, I guess. Yes, it looks too big for someone of your height.

Rossin being the factor that appeals to me, what does the Rossin sticker have to do with the bike? I've got a Batavus in a 60, very nice shape and some others, but as I remember, unless you can mail/pick up from the US side of the border, shipping costs are prohibitive...

So yes, that bike is way too big for you, but did you even lower the saddle?
The GS is a great bike and I would encourage you to keep a smaller one on your list of possibilities. One big advantage over the 710 (esp in Portland) is its capacity for larger tires with fenders.
Nothing against 710’s mind you. They are perfectly nice bikes.

Looking to trade for something my size 49-52 cm. Prefer 80-90's track, but open to roadies too.

From the research I could gather this is a Kharkiv Bicycle Factory XB3 Rekord track training bike from the 80s. Built in USSR/Ukraine and looks to be all original sans the new Tufo tubulars. Prod #811 , Year 1984

Measures 57cm c-c ST and TT with an 84cm Standover

I've got this cool 1972 Piet Aandewiel road Frameset, size 55 x 55 or so, and it's too small. Probably 531, definitely rare. Piet built track bikes, lots of them tandems, and his family still runs the shop he opened. It's almost a complete single speed at this point, but everything's there should you want to built it up geared. Huret dropouts, Campy fork ends, super cool Art Deco box lettered decals. Paint is weathered but intact, threads are good, the chrome is good in some spots, less good in others. Have a pair of Racers that need s couple little things, a stem, some bars, etc to sweeten the pot.

Would like something more in a 58/60. LA + SoCal local trades greatly appreciated, but I have a nice bike box and will ship if we can figure something out.

Lots of big photos!

Thanks,
Paul
