okay one more if anyone is interested this is a super nice gitane tour de france i restored all 531 60cm seat tube would trade for something in the same range as (size and reynolds or something else interesting) the frame has campagnolo rear frop outs and simplex fork ends nice long point lugs nervex fork crown

an older steel trek would be absolutely ideal some where in the 60-65 range

Looking to trade this 21" Miyata 610 frame for a similar vintage touring bike somewhere in the 55-57cm range. The top tube on this bike is 22" (55.88cm), but the shorter seat tube just makes the fit a little akward for me. It has bee recently powder coated a nice metallic flake black that the pictures don't do justice to.

have:
1998 Lemond Zurich. 853 reynolds steel frame - very desirable steel. Red paint job. 50cm (CTC) top tube. 47.5-48 cm seat tube CTC. Good shape, except 3 spots on the top tube where paint was removed from the previous owner putting stickers on it. paint stuck to the stickers . Only one of the spots is on the top/visible part of the top tube though - the other two are on the bottom of the top tube and aren't noticeable. A clean touch-up would make these disappear. 130mm spacing.

looking for: 53 - 54 cm to tube bike for an STI conversion (so spacing must be at least 126mm). something green-silver painted would be ideal!

This one is called a 50cm, but that is c-t, it is closer to 49cm c-c. I can't swap right away, more like later in the summer, if you have any interest.

Wow, my heart actually jumped when i saw this. I have the same frame in 22in ctc that is too big for my wife and too small for me. I would like to trade but I have to convince her to go for it because it was her father's bike and she has an attachment to it. I can't pm yet but shoot me a message if you're interested.

1986 Koga Miyata Roadwinner 22" (56 cm). Just picked up, however it's too small for me. Still need to clean it up. Looking to trade Frame or complete for a 59cm - 61cm range Japanese (another 1980's Koga, or Team or Pro Miyata). Will consider other Japanese brands.

Late 70's Motobecane Le Champion. Includes frame, fork, headset, bottom bracket, shifters and bb cable guide. 57 cm square center to center. No dents or dings but plenty of paint chips. Rust is very minimal despite the paint chips. Reynolds transfer claims full 531 but it's a repaint. Huret drop-outs. Long point lugs with cut outs (Bocama maybe?). The frame fits me fine but I've come to terms with the fact that the color doesn't agree with me. Want to trade for a steel frame of similar value. Anything between 56 and 60cm.

This is a longshot, but here goes. I'm looking to trade a 1973 56cm ctt st Raleigh Competition frame, fork, and headset (+/- bb) for the same year Raleigh Competition or Raleigh International in about a 62--64 cm frame. The frame is in good condition a few paint chips but nothing major. There are no dents.

This is a year with cappella lugs. If you have a Carlton Raleigh, I would consider something with interesting lugs around the same year (maybe a '74?). I'm looking for a full 531 frameset, not just the main tubes. A professional is a bit too racy for what I'm trying to do.

Okay, I'll put this out here. Since people are posting complete bikes to trade rather than just frames that don't fit them, I'll take a stab and see what comes of this. I have a complete bike that I'd like to trade, size for size but different type of bike. 1988 Panasonic-built Schwinn Voyageur, 63 ctt, 57 ctc TT, Columbus Tenax tubing, built up with 1983-1986 mixed comp set and some new parts thrown in. The frame itself was acquired through a trade way back on this very thread-- in fact I think I was tied for first place for the first successful trade on this thread. Anyway, I lovingly built this frame up with the creme de la creme of 1980s Japanese touring parts and adding thoughtful touches, thinking it would be fun to have a fully loaded vintage tourer. But fast forward more than a year, and I haven't used it for anything other than short rambles. The fact of the matter is that I'll probably never do any loaded touring, at least not until the kids have flown the coop, and that's not for awhile. Until then, I hope to eventually join a randonneuring club and start doing brevet series. I need something lighter and more flexy than a loaded tourer.

So I'll offer up my Voyageur, complete bike, partial bike or frameset only, for a 60-62ctc complete/partial bike or frameset with a top tube of at least 57.5ctc. Any vintage considered, up to mid-80s. Must be lightweight with a tubeset of some provenance (Reynolds, Columbus, etc), made for 700c wheels, high-end comps if complete bike. Can be British, French, American, Japanese, possibly Italian. Condition as good as my Voyageur, which is to say, original paint and decals, no rust, but scratches and touchups okay.

Some ideas-- Raleigh Professional, Raleigh Competition, Motobecane LeChampion, some higher end Fuji, or something more esoteric okay too.

I've got a Gitane mixte that's too small for me. It's 58cm c-c seat tube, and 58cm c-c effective toptube. Matching fenders are a little rough. BB was stripped, filled and recut in British thread. Paint does not match but it's not rusty. It was a custom build, oldest registration sticker on it says 1979. It's also labeled GRAND SPORT DE LUXE. I'm not familiar with Gitane models so I can't say more than that.

I'm interested in something 62-63cm, I can also throw in some cash.

The Proteus catalog calls this a 21" C-T frame with a 542mm TT c-c
Reynolds 531 double butted tubes, forks and stays with Campagnolo fork ends & dropouts. Drive side rear dropout recently replaced with matching new one.

I'm looking for something comparable in 56-58cm.
I have all the (mostly) Campagnolo NR parts to complete this, all of that is negotiable in the trade.

Posted this as a complete earlier in the week as a 56cm. It's actually a 57cm (see sticker). It's a 1986 Koga Miyata Roadwinner, I believe they were not marketed to the USA, so they are hard to find on this side of the pond. It's too small for me. I am looking for a Koga Miyata or Team or Pro Miyata in 59 - 61 cm size (I'm 6'2"). I'm also interested in a Dave Scott Centurion (the funkier color the better) or any other Japanese 80's steel (Sekai, Rensho ect..). If this fits and you have anything classic Steel in the 59 - 61cm, pm me and I will consider. I'm also VERY interested in anything Zeus or Italian Frames. To be honest, I just love old Steel in my size.

I have a 52cm Austro-Daimler "Inter-10" frameset, butted Reynolds 531 frame & fork, forged Shimano dropouts and chromed ends, in a very cosmetically challenged condition. I picked this up cheap, but the seller mis-sized it and I didn't think to measure. Oh well. This is basically a frame that could make a very nice beater. It has lots of paint chips, scrapes, etc, and a couple minor rust spots, but nothing serious. It's straight and has no dents. Includes the headset and bottom bracket, which both need grease and bearings. It has the remnants of some very cool box lining. I'm bummed that it's too small.

I am looking for a similar frameset in terms of being a quality ride with cosmetic issues, in 54-56 cm. I would prefer Reynolds 531, but will consider other good tubing. Send me a PM and let me know if you have anything you think might work. Ideally, I'd love to trade with someone in the NYC area, but I would ship if need be. If you have something you want to trade that's in better shape, we could talk about other parts / etc that you may need.

This might be a real long shot. I'd like to find a touring bike with a short top tube... because I have short arms apparently. I'd like something with a 56cm top tube, but a 59 or so seat tube. I'd trade my Mercian frame and fork for something very similar to it. I'd like to just transfer the parts from my Mercian, so nothing with odd sizes or threading hopefully.

OR, I am also willing to trade my Raleigh Professional for a nice touring frame.
