Thanks, I just finished stripping it down, what a joy that was. Came apart like a brand new bike. Nothing stuck or broke and no surprises.

Well looking at your bike convinced me to go mainly French on my Libertas build as well. It's the one of the few complete Libertas I've seen where the parts were likely original to the bike.

Looks great!

So, what's with the rear brake? And did you find the build year on the BB shell?

Missing the concave washer. I noticed a 72 and need to clean a little bit to see the other numbers.

Thanks. So no damage to the brake bridge, then? 1972 seems entirely plausible.

No damage anywhere, some nicks in the paint but overall the bike doesn’t look like it’s been ridden much.
