Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good one if you have Dyneema lines (rope for the landlubbers).

Same - universally loved.

Have about a half dozen each of long guns, hand guns, and knives. Even have a concealed carry permit. But, I never carry a gun unless I'm going to a range. Even then, they are carried unloaded and in the trunk. Rarely, if ever, carry a knife these days.

I assume one cannot climb the rigging without a knife in one's teeth.

Aramid of any kind is scary hard to cut. Fortunately, I have never had to do it in an emergency.

Cyclists know it from the Vectran in Conti tires.

The Usps strikes again. Waiting for 2 new pairs of bibs to come today. By 9:00pm dec 15th
says so on the tracking in big blue letters. I scroll up a bit... your package will be arriving late it is still in transit.... well? When am I going to get it then? Why not change the notification to reflect the new date? To much to ask I guess.

But then again, it says Tracking, it doesn't say accurate tracking...

Some manufacturers are starting to incorporate these tough fibers in to their bibs/jerseys. I'm interested - seems like some insurance against road rash.

Tsa frowns at knives.

Was planning on getting my conceal carry permit but just never found the time, nor lately have I felt the need to justify it.
