So I have a 62cm. Creamroller on the way and I am figuring out my build specs.
That said I will likely have a flip-flop hub option and I want to run brake/brakes. I also want to run 37c. WTB All Terrain Tires...
Which brakes should I use?
Tektro R559
or
Tektro R539
?
Or something cooler that I don't even know about?
Thanks in Advance,
PF

Was a steamroller complete, but changed a few things on it.
Handlebars = nitto b-115 with fizik dual tape
Stem - velo orange 90mm 17 degree
saddle - brooks team pro
peddles - white industries platform, mks clips, toshi singles
seat post - kalloy uno
Chainring - surly chainring
Chain = KMC Z610HX
Tires - Panracer t-serv 35's
Probably going to put sugino 75 cranks and BB in the spring.
Love this bike though.

Ah, I used to live in Ridgely's Delight - down the hill from UMAB - when I lived there during grad school. I give you BIG credit for riding up Federal Hill.

I have decided to sell the Steamroller. I will probably regret it, but I need to help finance the recent purchase if a Ti road bike frame. I hope you guys don't mind me posting a link to the thread here.

My steamroller in singlespeed mode. Few changes as well.
White industries freewheel
Tektro r538 calipers
Tektro r200a levers/hoods
Fizik bar tape
Selle Italia turbo saddle
Gatorskins 28's
Was very strange riding this bike with a freewheel after riding fixed only daily for the past 3 months. Every time I would stop pedaling, it would feel like my legs would float backwards. Strange. Got used to it quick, but still feels odd riding with a freewheel.

Here is my Steamroller. The white Deep V's will be replaced by a set of silver Sun CR18's sometime this week. My current Soma Sparrows will also be replaced by a a wider set of sparrows and in silver. Should I wrap the bars with tape and use a reverse lever or stick with the cross lever and Oury's?

New to the site. Just got a 56cm Creamroller
Hey guys just got this Steamroller used last week. It's got flip flop hub with 17t free and 19t fixed with stock 47t up front. It has Conti Contact 700x28c tires. Also came with a set of origin 8 bullhorn bars I'm thinking of putting on soon. Running it single speed with brakes as of now. Bought front and rear lights and a small bag to hold tools etc. under seat.
I'm used to riding Mtn bikes on the street and this thing is a whole new ballgame (at least for me). So much more enjoyable with this road bike.
Very informative site btw. I've gotten a lot of useful info already.

Working on a few upgrades, after a year of solid riding some parts are starting to wear a bit
New bars are next, I need at least one more hand position, lol.

Normal wear and tear type stuff, the cog is starting to show some use, etc. I think I'm going to have to go through and check the hubs/bottom bracket/drive train and tighten everything up as well.
Most of the other upgrades are for comfort and a different riding experience. I'm loving my first pair of clipless pedals atm

Does anyone that changed their saddle have the stock one lying around? I love mine and want another for my backup bike.
